Today's Prayer

Holy and Gracious God, who waits patiently for our eyes and ears to turn to you, we pray for all your children across New England, that they will find their place in the churches, Sunday School classrooms, youth groups, and camp chapels that await them. Every empty stool, bench, bean bag chair, and carpet square is an opportunity that beckons: to share your holy love, your call to service, your inclusive Gospel with a life that is just beginning. Send us the loving volunteers, hard workers, persistent parents, grandparents, and visionary leaders who will bravely open their hearts to the youth in our midst; empower our camping and retreat ministries with music, resources, and saints; and fill our holy spaces with voices of praise. There are so many hurt and lonely souls in our communities. May our sacred spaces be a blessing to them this summer, even this very day. Amen.
