let them lead me;

let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling."

Psalm 43:3

 

Lord,

May your light brightly shine upon us during this Season of Advent.

May your truth be revealed to all of humankind

that you alone are God.

Creator and Maker of all things

who has breathed your breath into us that we may live.

Yet without you we only exist on this earthly plane.

For only in you can we have life - true life - abundant life.

You are God in whom we take refuge.

Let your light and your truth lead us all the days of our lives.

Then one day, may we go home to be with you in your dwelling place

where we shall live with exceeding joy

in your never-ending presence for all of eternity.

Amen.
