Pastor Jerry Miller is a Certified Lay Minister in the New England Conference of The United Methodist Church who brings a heart for ministry, a head for finance, and a deep love for the local church. By day, he serves in the New England Conference administrative office as a finance consultant in Methuen. He also serves as treasurer for Tewksbury United Methodist Church, works as an independent auditor of church financial records, and teaches Certified Lay Ministry and other faith-based leadership courses through BeADisciple.com.
Jerry is also a published author. His book, Futureproofing Faith: Revitalizing Churches in the 21st Century, reflects his passion for helping congregations navigate change with courage, clarity, and hope. Through both his writing and teaching, he equips church leaders with practical tools, spiritual insight, and sustainable strategies for ministry in a rapidly changing world.
He describes his preaching style as “Methocostal,” a spirited blend of Methodist tradition and his Pentecostal upbringing. His sermons are energetic, heartfelt, and grounded in scripture, always seeking to inspire, uplift, and gently challenge listeners to grow deeper in faith and wider in service.
His commitment to the community extends beyond the pulpit. Jerry volunteers with For Goodness Cakes, baking for children in foster care and youth facing adversity. He also serves with One Brick and with the Nashua Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry, supporting local efforts to meet tangible needs with compassion and dignity.
Jerry’s husband, Joel, is a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant in Neurology at Tufts Medical Center and is currently pursuing a dual degree in Business and Fine Arts at Southern New Hampshire University. Together, they share a commitment to compassion, creativity, and service.
Previously active at Good Shepherd UMC in Malden and Main Street UMC in Nashua, Jerry and Joel found deep joy in church life through committee work, music ministry, and fellowship. They are now grateful to serve at Arlington Street United Methodist Church.
Stacey Lippert joined Arlington Street United Methodist Church in 2025 as Church Administrator, bringing a strong background in administrative support and financial operations. Stacey values roles that allow her to work behind the scenes to support others and keep systems running smoothly. Her work is grounded in reliability, efficiency, and a genuine desire to help.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, she enjoys spending time with her family and their two dogs, Fluffy and Lola.
