Pastor Jerry Miller, CLM
Pastor Jerry Miller is a Certified Lay Minister in the New England Conference of the United Methodist Church and brings a heart for ministry, a head for finance, and a deep love for the local church. By day, he serves as a finance consultant for the Conference in Methuen. By night (and often in between), he’s the treasurer for Tewksbury UMC, an independent auditor for church financial records, and an instructor for multiple online ministry courses at BeADisciple.com.
Pastor Jerry describes his preaching style as “Methocostal”, a spirited blend of Methodist tradition and Pentecostal fire. His sermons are energetic, heartfelt, and grounded in scripture, always seeking to inspire, uplift, and challenge listeners to grow in faith and service.
Jerry’s husband, Joel, is a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant in Neurology at Tufts Medical Center and is currently pursuing a dual degree in Business and Fine Arts at Manchester Community College. Together, they are a team rooted in compassion, creativity, and a shared calling to serve.
Pastor Jerry also volunteers with For Goodness Cakes, baking sweet treats for children in foster care and youth facing adversity, because everyone deserves to feel celebrated.
Previously active at Good Shepherd UMC in Malden and MainStreet UMC in Nashua, Pastor Jerry and Joel have found deep joy in church life through committee work, music ministry, and meaningful fellowship. Now, they’re thrilled to bring their gifts and warm spirits to Arlington Street United Methodist Church.
Pastor Jerry’s first Sunday was July 6, 2025, and he’s already getting to know his way around (though he admits to getting lost in the building a few times, bless his heart).
