Sharon Sargent, Pastor

In July 2022 we welcomed our new pastor, Sharon Sargent. A graduate of United Theological Seminary in Dayton, OH, with a Master of Divinity degree, she is a United Methodist licensed local pastor. Additionally, she has completed coursework in Healing Touch Spiritual Ministries through The Institute of Spiritual Healing & Aromatherapy. (http://www.ISHAhealing.com)

Pastor Sharon has been appointed to serve both the North Salem United Methodist Church in Salem, New Hampshire and the Arlington Street United Methodist Church of Nashua, New Hampshire. Born and raised in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, she received a BS in Chemistry from Fitchburg State College and worked for many years in the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology and Medical Device Industries before answering the call to serve God and the people of God. Sharon has three adult children and nine grandchildren. She frequently visits with her mother who still lives independently at the age of 101.

Lenny Cavallaro, Music Director
Lenny joined Arlington Street United Methodist Church as Music Director in July of 2022. He directs the choir and plays the organ and piano for our weekly and special worship services.

Lenny Cavallaro was a top prizewinner in the J.S. Bach International Competition and subsequently performed that composer’s Six Partitas to the highest critical acclaim in Carnegie Recital Hall. He has achieved even more recognition as a composer, with eleven published volumes, most notably his works for English horn and piano (released by Forton Music) and violin and piano (Broadbent & Dunn). In 2015, he wrote a conjectural "completion" of Contrapunctus XIV from Bach's unfinished masterpiece, The Art of the Fugue.
 
Lenny majored in literature at the University of Connecticut and later earned his Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) degree from West Virginia University. He has served on the English and/or music faculties of several colleges in New England.
 
Additionally, a man of letters, Lenny is the author of short dramas and several works of fiction. These include: (1) Trojan Dialogues: The Memoirs of Diomedes, (2) If Music Be the Food of Love and (3) Paradise Regained and Lost Again (the first two novels of his series, The Passion of Elena Bianchi), (4) Two Oedipal Plays, and the forthcoming collection, (5) Sherlock Holmes and the Mysteries of the Chess World.

The Arlington Street United Methodist Church of Nashua welcomes Susan Gorman as our new Administrative Assistant. She comes to us with years of church and non-profit experience. Please stop by the office to meet her.
