Pastor Sharon Sargent, LLP, MDIV

In July 2022 we welcomed our new pastor, Sharon Sargent. A graduate of United Theological Seminary in Dayton, OH, with a Master of Divinity degree, she is a United Methodist licensed local pastor. Additionally, she has completed coursework in Healing Touch Spiritual Ministries through The Institute of Spiritual Healing & Aromatherapy. (http://www.ISHAhealing.com)

Pastor Sharon has been appointed to serve both the North Salem United Methodist Church in Salem, New Hampshire and the Arlington Street United Methodist Church of Nashua, New Hampshire. Born and raised in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, she received a BS in Chemistry from Fitchburg State College and worked for many years in the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology and Medical Device Industries before answering the call to serve God and the people of God. Sharon has three adult children and ten grandchildren. She lives with her mother who is 102 years old.

Pastor Sharon will be leaving Arlington Street UMC on June 30, 2025, to care for her aging mother full time. She will continue to serve as Pastor of the North Salem UMC.

Pastor Jerry Miller, CLM

Pastor Jerry Miller is a Certified Lay Minister in the New England Conference. By day, he is a finance consultant for the Conference in Methuen. By night, he serves as the treasurer for Tewksbury UMC, an independent auditor of church financial records, and an instructor for two (soon to be three) courses on BeADisciple.com.
Pastor Jerry’s preaching style is what he affectionately calls Methocostal, which is a blend of Methodist tradition and Pentecostal spirit that brings energy, warmth, and heartfelt conviction to every sermon.
 
His husband, Joel, is a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant in Cardiology at Tufts Medical Center and is pursuing a dual major in Business and Fine Arts at Manchester Community College.

Pastor Jerry is a volunteer baker for For Goodness Cakes, a nonprofit organization that provides baked goods to children in foster care and to youth overcoming adversity.
 
Pastor Jerry and Joel were active members at Good Shepherd UMC in Malden. Both were active on committees and sang in the choir. They later joined MainStreet UMC in Nashua.
 
Now, they’re excited to bring their talents and warm spirits to their new church family at Arlington Street!  Pastor Jerry’s first Sunday will be July 6, 2025.
